The SecDev Group works at the nexus of research and operations. We are a member of the global community of scholars, think tanks and practitioners groups concerned with the challenge of international public policy, security and development.

We believe in supporting research at leading Canadian academic Institutions. We sponsor research and engage in joint research with the Citizen Lab, Munk School of Global Affairs, University of Toronto, and are cofounders of the OpenNet Initiative and Information Warfare Monitor.

We believe that Canada has a role to play in global security. We are active participants in Canada's security, defense, law-enforcement and development community, and work with a wide range of international partners including the United Nations, OSCE, OECD, and others to face the challenges of insecurity and want, and to further sustainable and equitable development.
